Finishing a completed project is always a special and exciting stage. Give your autumn cross stitch a finished, stylish, and professional look with the original set of shaped bell pulls featuring a themed pumpkin motif. This wooden accessory is perfectly suited for finishing vertical designs, autumn samplers, or country-style pieces, creating a cozy atmosphere in your interior.
Why you'll love these bell pulls:
- Exclusive design: The set consists of two elements: a top holder decorated with a carved pumpkin and maple leaves, and a shaped bottom weight that ensures perfect tension of the fabric.
- Complete creative freedom: The bell pulls are supplied in natural wood color (unpainted). You have a wonderful opportunity to customize them! Stain them to look like oak or walnut, coat them with varnish, or paint them with bright acrylic colors to perfectly match your embroidery.
- Practical collapsible design: Thanks to a clever jigsaw lock system, the wooden slats open easily. You can easily remove the embroidery for washing or change the designs depending on the season or your mood.
Technical Specifications:
- Purpose: For finishing embroidered works (wall hangings) up to 15 cm wide
- Contents: 2 pieces (top holder and bottom weight)
- Material: High-quality plywood
- Material thickness: 4 mm
Master Class: How to finish embroidery with a bell pull
The finishing process does not require complex skills. We suggest the most convenient basic method:
- Carefully wash and thoroughly iron your finished embroidery.
- Neatly fold and secure the edges of the canvas on the left and right sides.
- On the top and bottom from the back, apply strips of interfacing (about 5 cm wide) to the edges for extra stability.
- Fold the top and bottom edges to the back. Sew a straight stitch about 2 cm from the fold (top and bottom), creating a so-called "casing."
- Open the jigsaw locks on the bell pulls, slide the inner wooden slats into the created fabric casings, and close them.
- Optionally, aesthetically hide the back of the work using an additional layer of interfacing.
📌 Alternative method: You can also first sew the embroidery to a decorative backing fabric along the sides, turn it right side out, and then make the top and bottom casings to attach the bell pulls.
💡 Tip from Crazy Cross Stitch: This pumpkin set is a true must-have for fans of autumn decor and Halloween designs. Try experimenting with paint: a distressed wood effect (using stain and sandpaper) or a bright orange accent on the pumpkin itself will look incredibly stylish!
